Fun in the Sun in Salt Lake

Cute couple!  We got some great shots before Jake had to head to play in a Baseball game.  Glad we got these done in time!  I always love shooting somewhere new...  thanks, guys!

Serious Sass

It's not often that I get to photograph one of my best friends...but it has happened twice in the last month! Jared and I met in our freshman ward at BYU and we immediately clicked. He was silly enough to perform interpretive dance with me in front of his dorm window for all the girls across the walkway to see. Ahhh, memories. I felt honored to take his engagements and LOVED every minute of it. What a fun couple! I look forward to seeing you guys in California!

This next picture was great---Amber was busy holding a reflector to the right of the picture, and I needed another one held on their left side. Guess who held it...it was Jared. You wouldn't think, but he's actually holding a reflector in this picture.

Cute cute.

Just a few more from one of last week's shoots...  So many shoots last week!  We'll get more of them up soon.  Your vote: Which baby bracelet do you like better?  The toddler's or the baby's?

Tricks of the Trade and my Lovely Assistant

So, about 5 minutes before I left for this photoshoot, I said to myself, "Uh Oh...It is high noon! What if there are no shady spots to photograph? The pictures will look horrible" (due to awkward and harsh shadows in the face). Last minute, Amber saves the day! I never could have done all that she did with a camera in hand. The pictures turned out MARVELOUSLY, thanks to Amber's help. You don't really think about what goes into these...(By the way, isn't my assistant HOT!).

Little Princesses

What fabulous models! We loved doing this one; we got to shoot together again, which is a rare opportunity with our busy schedules. We hope you like them! P.S., we just formatted our hard drive and now our monitor is not calibrated as it used to be. Please let us know if the pictures look too bright, too saturated, or just plain weird. We promise we won't be offended...we'll just blame it on the computer!

Silly Couple in Idaho

This was definitely a memorable wedding for me...it was my best friend of almost 20 years. We went to the same elementary school, jr. high, high school, and part of college. And what a goofy kid. His bride matched him perfectly! I hope you enjoy looking at them as much as I enjoyed taking them. I finally got a normal one:

Rain and Snow-- in April?

I'll just post one from today's shoot. This was a sweet family-- way good looking, and way nice. It was crazy weather-- half way through we felt a few drops, took some shots, and suddenly it was blowing snow, and it was freezing! We were able to finish up the session in the studio, and we all survived--even the infant! She was such a trooper.

Here's just one, our friend who was ever so helpful holding the reflector for almost everyone else!

Thanks, buddy!

More soon to come...

Dressed for Success

These shots are from a recent engagement shoot that never got posted. This couple had clean-cut outfits that i just loved. Great looking groom, and gorgeous bride. We can't wait to shoot your wedding, guys!

So, question for all you photogs (and non-photogs) out there...

What's your opinion: Warm or Cool? The piggy-back shot (third down) is a cooler (blueish) temperature, while the one after it is a little warmer (yellowish).

What do you like better?

Tahitian Noni II

Two days in a row! Now it's my turn to shoot. Luckily, I got better weather than Dustin so we spent almost the entire time outside. Kara is Superwoman, seriously. She braved the cold the entire shoot, almost 2 hours. You'd never guess from the photos how cold she was! Way to go being so expressive, Kara!

Now, this shot has an interesting story... email us if you want to hear it. Turned out great, didn't it, Kara?

Wedding Shots at Tahitian Noni

By a stroke of luck, the weather was horribly cold today. Because of this, we got to spend a lot of time indoors. I had never shot Tahitian Noni indoors until today...it was SOOOO much fun. Take a look!
