Fife Photography Photo Classes

Meet Jackson. He agreed to be photographed for the lighting class Wednesday, and he looked handsome!! It was fun to be out with the class. Thanks for having me and the boys tag along, Dustin!

In between chasing the boys, i caught a few shots to give him as thank you. :)

We are often in need of people to model for our advanced classes... you don't have to be runway material, just willing to have a bunch of cameras pointed at you! Just let us know: info {at} fifephotography.com

Busiest time of our lives

For those of you not into Facebook yet, you've been missing out on the action. I decided i should finally attempt a blog post of all the craziness that's been going on.

Soooo... i was in NY to shoot an outdoor theatrical production, which Dustin and i had been asked to shoot back in 2007. It is time for new visual material, so they flew me out again. With Dustin in July classes, i went solo with boys, and luckily had my parents to help with the kiddos.

I'm bummed i can't showcase all my new amazing images since they are now intellectual reserve, but you'll eventually see them on their facebook page and website. (if you click around different tabs on the menu bar you can see a more of our images from 2007)

I also got to meet some amazing people for photo sessions! First was a newborn of a good friend of mine, then triplets of a friend of my friend Jenna, then her family the next day! Dustin shot 2 engagement sessions here in OK while i was gone. Coming home i then 2 weddings that weekend, with 4 more sessions and a wedding this week.

So here's a sprinkling of all the shoots we have going on... we're so lucky to know so many neat people.

So make sure to come to facebook-- that's where the front line action happens. ;)

NY, i will miss you.

Over 2500 images shot, and a 6 shoots later, we're finally heading home. It's been a whirlwind of a trip, but so worth it. I have many stories to tell, and neat people to return to in October. My days are filling fast, so please let me know if you're interested in booking a session when i return!!

stay tuned to see more photo goodness...

Photo Tip

Though sometimes it's nice to come close to the subject...

...you can also take a step back and choose to include more of the scene to tell a story or to frame your subject.

Happy Friday!!

Note to all brides....

Choose your maid of honor wisely--- she is your LIFESAVER on your wedding day! Amber was melting in the extreme heat, and Rachael came to her rescue!! That's what good friends are for.

We made it.

50 minute layover turned into 6 hours... but we are safe and sound in NY!

I heart Oklahoma Sunsets

Snagged this on the way home from an amazing wedding we shot... have i told you that my favorite sight is a sunset? And we get the best ones here in Oklahoma.

Gettin' on a plane to NY today with both kiddos... wish me luck!
If you're in Rochester, NY area, give me a holler!!

hugs, amber

What do you do on a Thursday evening when you have 30 teenage girls coming for an outdoor shoot with 80% chance of rain? Shoot in the studio. And it's a good thing we did: it POURED. Here's the football ad we whipped up... except it will be black and white. I'm excited to see how the team poster is going to look... you'll see that in about a month!

Amber + Chas

On the sixth anniversary of their very first date, Amber and Chas were wed in a romantic vineyard. Amber wanted everything to be just perfect, and took on all the intricate detail ideas herself. She crafted pomander balls herself, as well as a basket to line the aisle.

The wedding cake by Ingrid's Kitchen was gorgeous-- Amber gave no direction, and didn't know what it was going to look like until the day of the wedding! She was just thrilled with the outcome. Mid-America String Quartet played all the music Amber had chosen as guests were seated and as they walked down the aisle. There's nothing that melts my heart more than Canon in D, and they played that as beautifully as they did all the other pieces.

Johnny Carino's food was just mouthwatering. Every bite was a party in my mouth. Great vendors, amazing couple and a wonderful experience.

And what better way to capture two lovebird's special day than to do it AS lovebirds! Dustin and I loved shooting together and each of us told our own story of the day with our cameras.

Dustin's going to kill me when he sees how many pictures i'm posting... but i just can't narrow it down!!

They had the cutest kid's table with all kinds of fun things!

She made these herself!! Stunning.

BEST idea to do a first look before the wedding...

Meet Steve. He was our go-to guy. He held lights, called people out, held gear, and even cut both wedding cakes himself! What a neat groomsman!

And if you missed it, check out their darling wedding video!!

One week from today...

i'm leavin' on a jet plane. If you're in Rochester, NY area and looking for a photo session or mentoring session, let me know. It's gonna be a packed trip. ;)

Amy + Chris: Engaged

These two lovebirds took a break from the tiring work of home improvement to catch some images with me. They are absolutely adorable and i can't wait until their wedding in August!

I fell in love with this clock at first sight...

Isn't she adorable in this black number??
