Best Friends Shoot

Though we have had and ice storm yesterday and a snow storm today, and our baby has a double ear infection, i HAD to post these tonight!! This was from a session last week.

One of our fantastic photo students Lisa was lucky enough to win our Christmas Giveaway! She chose to do the session with some of her best friends, since she's going to be heading out to Japan soon. These ladies were a riot; so fun to shoot.

Aren't these lines super fun?? Both the structure and the shadows...

Super silly... i won't tell you what one of them just did. ;)

Fun stairs.

Aaaand some headshots of each lady.

I like this one. i think it's one of my favorites from the session.

Lisa likes having a serious face. I think she pulls it off beautifully.

And pulling some serious faces...

Many memories before these photos, but this session freezes it all in time. I felt privileged to shoot these friends. I wish i had a photog around when i said good bye to my dearest friends!

Kerri + George: Engagement Session

This brave couple was up for anything! Despite the drizzly rain, we met up for their session. These two are artists themselves-- they met in an interior design class. Full of ideas and full of fun, we got some great images together.

Isn't Kerri just GORGEOUS?!!

These two had so many inside jokes, it was hard to keep track of them!

And they love to make these hearts...

Kerri gave George coaching lessons as we went. ;)

Thanks for a great session, friends! Can't wait for bridals in April! Though you all will have to wait till after the June wedding to see them. ;)

Busy Busy Busy

Most people see 3-day weekends and 4-day weekends as a time to relax. Not us! Just to let you know we're alive and breathing, here's a peak at what we've been up to!

More to come soon i promise!

One more Favorite!

How could i have forgotten this one? This was fun to create. I shot at 1/4th of a second to get the ambient light (the sign and lamp) and froze them with some off-camera flash. But that's just techie jargon for anyone who cares. ;)

OKC Reception: Joan + Joe

Despite the cold, Joan and Joe braved the streets of Bricktown in downtown Oklahoma City to catch a few more shots before heading over to Nona's for more pictures and dinner. You can't even tell they are freezing-- Dustin sure was. Glad i got to stay inside and feed Ethan--oh yea! I didn't mention that in the last post! They were totally chill for Ethan to join us for the day, so i got to come along for the whole day!! (And i couldn't help but pick up a camera a few times-- it's in my blood, i guess!)

Inside Nona's we were toasty and warm. It is a beautiful venue, and the food is exquisite.

Those chandeliers were made out of... blown glass? Really cool.

Gotta get a kissing shot on the lips couch...

I didn't get a shot of dustin's salmon or my chicken, but here's the chocolate cake dessert. Everything was just a.mazing. Delicious.

Joan's dad even grabbed our logo off our site to be our last name on our nametags. I felt so special.

Joan's brothers had some fun and tender stories to share.

It was a terrific day. I seriously love shooting weddings, and so glad I got to spend the day shooting with dustin, and Ambre assisting. Thanks to everyone for the success of the day.
