Beautiful Blond Bride

Alright, Chad, no peeking!!

This was a fun shoot because not only do I love having pretty brides, but we got to shoot at Thanksgiving Point AND ride a golf cart the whole time! In the past walking all that distance tires you out as well as make the bride sweaty in the heat.

For some reason I was the driver, and I drive very hesitantly on new vehicles. I didn't give it enough gas to make it start a few times, and I was going so slow! By the end I got a hang of it. At least I provided some entertainment for the bride and her friend.

I love helpers that come for the shoots!

Looking forward to your wedding, Beth!

Gorgeous Girl

So this is kind of a fun story. I was told I would do the design work for a billboard in Albany, NY for a Pro-Life group, but they were having trouble finding a model and getting pictures done there. So that evening I was at a reception and saw this lady: (she's getting food on her plate but she's so graceful, you wouldn't know!) I was just captivated by her face.

I was afraid she'd think I was strange if I were to walk up and ask her to model sometime, so I waited. But by the time I tried again, she was gone. Luckily I have an amazing bride (thanks, Amber!) who got me in contact with her Monday, and we set up a shoot for this morning.

The images we'll be most likely be using are going through review; so I'll wait until that is done, then post the design. But here are a few of my favorites from the shoot, some happy just for fun. Thanks Cindy, you were great!

Windy Day!

(*Update: Originally these pictures weren't showing my processing on them, so after this discovery, I uploaded them again. These are a lot more vibrant.)

This couple was so fun to shoot, but confusing for me at times: Amber & Justin. I'm Amber and my husband's name is Dustin. And I shot it on my birthday. So I have a bond with this bride. She was so fun when we shot her bridals, and it was fun to see her sister's new baby too. Weather forecast said rain, and we lucked out!

The wind kept blowing her veil straight up. Hilarious! Here she is taking flight...

Stay tuned for reception pics...

Love the Wedding Colors

Dustin shot this wedding, but as I processed them, i was just struck with how much I loved the wedding colors-- so happy! The ceremony was sweet and simple, so fun to shoot.

Engagements with a twist

This cute couple both have some adorable kids, coming together to make a great-looking bunch. It was fun to get some fun family shots of all of them together. It was nice to shoot at Thanksgiving Point.

Next post: the wedding!

Wedding in the Woods

At a family cabin up in Cottonwood Canyon, this cute couple became a new family. It was quite an adventure driving up the small switchbacks in the mountains. I actually headed to my family's cabin which was even further into the mountains, where I have never been before. I ended up driving almost straight down on a very steep dirt road for about 2 miles, convinced i was going to die at any second. Whew! But I am alive to tell about it.

It was a bright sunny day, but we still got great pictures. Here's just a few...
